Our client, a leading analytical equipment service provider, is seeking an Inventory Manager to manage and optimize the company’s parts and equipment inventory and supply chain operations across three global and local warehouses and trunk stock locations.

Key Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' minimum experience in inventory or supply-chain management.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Familiarity with 5S and operating in an ISO environment strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving/exceeding objectives.
  • Record of advancement with previous employers.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management/Strategy
    • Monitor and maintain salesforce-based inventory management database (IMD), which analyzes our inventory levels, trunk stock, national/regional inventories, utilization rates and months of supply
    • Track and monitor parts utilization and maintain up to date inventory levels and meet inventory benchmarks like months of supply
    • Forecast parts needs based on the IMD and communicate RX needs based on IMD
    • Develop and execute parts strategy to ensure continued service capabilities.
    • Refine inventory processes and procedures to facilitate seamless operations.
    • Measure and produce reports on the performance of inventory operations to guide business decisions
  • Inventory administration
    • Lead, manage and be accountable for inventory control personnel
    • Maintain inventory management systems accurately
    • Ensure warehouses are organized and efficient
    • Execute inventory related projects from time to time, such as standard costing procedures
    • Inventory changes/adjustments for new acquisitions or accounting needs
    • Update inventory costs (internal costs) and parts pricing (customer prices) in IMD
    • Collect/review QC paperwork
    • Manage and perform inventory audits
  • Field support and management
    • Develop and implement systems and processes to receive, inventory, warehouse, pick, and distribute inventory parts and systems to support a team of Field Service Engineers (FSEs).
    • Manage, track, and optimize parts supply chain from national warehouse to regional warehouses to trunk stock maintained by each Field Service Engineer (FSE)
    • Support parts needs for FSEs in the field and ensure FSEs have timely access to parts.
    • Manage facilities and procure equipment/tools for FSEs in the field
    • Manage and optimize FSE parts check-out/in
    • Manage and optimize commitment of parts to work orders
  • Parts procurement, research, and development
    • Execute procurement methodology to secure parts supply and develop new or optimize existing vendor relationships
    • Review, audit and manage vendor network
    • Develop and maintain relationships with parts vendors
    • Research and develop vendors and/or channels to procure parts
    • Procure parts
    • Optimize procurement and pricing of RX parts
    • Research and develop parts suppliers to support new product service lines
  • Other
    • Collaborate across departments, such as operations, sales and accounting, to ensure seamless communication and effective execution
    • Establish, develop and maintain positive relationships with team members and customers
    • Follow company policies and accounting procedures
    • Perform other duties as determined by management
